FLOATATION

WHAT IS FLOATATION THERAPY?

There are no lights. No sound. No outside stimulation.  Just you, the water, and complete stillness. In this space of sensory silence, your nervous system quiets, your breath slows, and your muscles begin to soften.  It’s a deep release that feels almost meditative – like exhaling tension you didn’t realise you were holding.

Whether clothed in a swimsuit or floating freely, the dense mineral-rich solution gently lifts and supports you – allowing your body to fully let go.  With no pressure points and nothing to distract or disturb, your mind begins to quieten, giving way to a profound sense of calm.

Used for centuries to ease pain, soften the skin, and promote balance, Epsom salts help soothe the body from within. It’s the ideal environment for both physical recovery and mental clarity.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

YOUR FLOAT, STEP BY STEP

Arrival & Introduction

Our team will warmly welcome you and guide you through everything you need to know—so whether it’s your first float or your fiftieth, you’ll feel relaxed, informed, and at ease.

Prepare to Float

In your private floatation room, begin with a refreshing shower to remove any oils, dirt, or perfumes. This ensures the pod stays ultra-clean and helps you absorb the full benefits of the Epsom salts.

Step Into Stillness

Ease into the warm 37°C water. Our pods are spacious enough to stretch out fully—or even float with a partner in couples sessions. You're in control: choose silence or gentle music, darkness or ambient lighting—whatever helps you unwind.

Let Go & Float

As your body is gently lifted by the salt-rich solution, tension melts away. With no pressure points and no external stimulation, your muscles relax, your breath deepens, and the world fades. It may take a few minutes to adjust—just focus on your breath and allow yourself to let go.

Reawaken & Reset

Your float ends with a soft light or sound cue. After a final rinse, enjoy a few quiet moments to reflect and re-enter the world feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply restored.

TIPS TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR FLOAT

Whether it’s your first float or your fifth, these gentle tips can help you settle in more deeply and get the most from your experience.

Skip the Stimulus

Try to avoid caffeine or other stimulants on the day of your session. A quieter system makes for a calmer mind and body.

Stay Lightly Hydrated

Drink water earlier in the day, but avoid large amounts just before your float. Comfort is key.

Eat Light, Float Light

A light meal about an hour beforehand is ideal. Floating on a full—or empty—stomach can be distracting.

Avoid Shaving Pre-Float

Shaving right before your session can make your skin sensitive to the Epsom salts. If possible, leave a few hours between shaving and floating.

Undress the Day

We recommend floating without swimwear to fully let go of physical restrictions. Your float suite is completely private, and the water is skin-temperature for seamless comfort.

Let Go of the Clock

There’s no need to check the time. We’ll gently signal the end of your session with soft lights or sound—until then, just breathe.

Focus on Your Breath

If your mind is busy or adjusting to the new environment, your breath is your anchor. Slow, steady inhales and exhales help guide you into stillness.

Find Your Position

There’s no one “correct” way to float. Try arms by your sides, overhead, or resting on your chest—move gently until you find what feels right.

Float Without Expectations

Each float is unique. Some days you’ll drop into stillness, other days you’ll simply enjoy the pause. There’s no wrong way to float—just breathe, soften, and allow.

It’s a deeply restorative pause — in a pod designed to help you feel like yourself again.

SESSION DETAILS

How long is each session?

Standard sessions include 60 minutes of float time, with additional time before and after for showering and changing. Extended 90- and 120-minute floats are also available. You're welcome to relax in our quiet area after your session with tea and reading materials.

When should I arrive?

For your first session, please arrive at least 15 minutes early for a full walkthrough. For return visits, 5 minutes is plenty.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a loss of session credit or deposit.

Can I get a refund?

We offer full refunds within 14 days of purchase for unused sessions. If you've used part of a package, we cannot offer partial refunds for the remaining balance.

Can couples float together?

Yes! We offer dedicated “Float for Two” sessions in our extra-large pods. Simply select the couple’s float option when booking.

What’s the minimum age?

You must be 16 or over to book a float. Please contact us in advance if you’d like to discuss a session for someone under 18.

What happens if salt gets in my eyes?

It may sting a little, but it’s harmless. Try to avoid touching your face while floating. We provide fresh water spray bottles in each room so you can rinse your eyes if needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You’re not alone—this is a common concern. We are proud to say the Enso float pod is the most spacious on the market and designed to feel open, calm, and boundary-free. With no light, no distractions, and total stillness, most guests actually describe the experience as expansive and deeply calming. You’re always in control—you can float with the lid open, lights on, or however feels best for you.

Absolutely—and it’s safe to do so. Many people drift off while floating. The dense Epsom salt solution keeps you fully supported, so you’ll stay gently buoyant on the surface. If you do snooze, the worst that might happen is getting a little salt water in your eyesthough our advanced, low-splash design makes this unlikely.

Our pods feature state-of-the-art filtration systems. After every single session, 100% of the water is filtered and sterilised using UV light and a small amount of approved disinfectant. The water is also highly saline (over 500kg of medical-grade Epsom salts per pod), which naturally inhibits bacteria.

The water is not drained and replaced after every float—but it is thoroughly filtered and sterilised after each session. The salt solution is so clean it would technically meet drinking standards (though it’s far too salty to sip!). We also monitor levels and quality daily to ensure every float is pristine.

We provide towels, earplugs, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hairdryersFeel free to bring your own slippers if you prefer not to walk barefoot.

For safety and hygiene reasons, we ask that you don’t float if:

  • You have open wounds or infections
  • You’ve had diarrhoea in the past 14 days
  • You’re under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • You’ve recently dyed your hair and the colour is still bleeding
  • You’ve recently applied tanning products or lotions
  • You have a new tattoo (please wait at least 30 days or until fully healed)

Please wait until your colour has stopped running in the shower and onto towels. For most dyes, this is a few days to a week. For spray tans, we recommend waiting a minimum of 48 hours—and confirming all excess has been washed off—to protect the water and your experience.

Yes, many expectant mothers find floating incredibly helpful for relieving tension and reconnecting with their bodies. That said, we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider before booking a session.

We advise waiting at least 30 days, or until your tattoo is completely healed. The salt water can irritate fresh ink and slow down healing.

You can float if you’re menstruating, but please follow the same hygiene precautions you would for swimming or spa use.
